MORE than three-quarters of babies who drown die in the bathtub, an analysis
of 1420 accidental drownings of children in the US has revealed.”It reinforces
the need for constant adult supervision around the bathtub,” says Ruth Brenner,
head of the study at the US National Institute of Child Health and Human
Development near Washington DC. Her results appear in Pediatrics (vol
108, p 85).
