The birthplace of the Web? A physics laboratory near Geneva. At some stage
there’ll be a plaque at CERN in honour of the Web’s fathers, Tim Berners-Lee and
Robert Cailliau. But for now there is an excellent book written by James Gillies
with Cailliau about the nativity of an essential part of modern life, out this
