Sick of struggling with lamps and timers when trying to fool burglars that
someone’s at home? British company Philex of Hendon, Middlesex, has come up with
a quick way to puzzle burglars: a light switch with a built-in timer with an LCD
display. The timer connects to the mains and can override the switch to turn a
light on and off up to seven times a day. There’s even a backup battery that
keeps time during a power cut.
