People who cybersquat鈥攔egister Internet domain names with the intention
of selling them later鈥攃ould soon find themselves “evicted”. Last week the
US Senate voted for a bill to restrict the practice. If the measure is also
passed by the House of Representatives and wins presidential approval, trade
name owners would be allowed to recover damages if it can be proved that a
domain name incorporating their trade name has been registered with the
intention of profiting from it.
