Students and teachers wanting information about gene
technology can visit a Web site established by the Australian government’s Gene
Technology Information Unit. The address is http://www.geneinfo.gtiu.gov
au. Topics on the site include gene technology and the environment,
patenting, and transgenics. The site was launched last October as the school
