People in Alaska aren’t interested in TV ads that show ritzy new cars being driven around the Florida Keys. So Intellocity of Colorado is aiming to make ads easy to relate to the regions they are shown in (WO 02/076097). The advertiser shoots a car whizzing around various settings, such as beach or mountain locations. The car is then taken out of the film by computer, allowing any new car to be placed in the scene in future to reduce shooting costs. So in Alaska, the local cable station sends out shots of the latest car combined with a mountain background, while Floridians see the same car driving along oceanside boulevards.
