Grigore and Panait Nika have got their ambitious 鈥渦niversal transport system鈥�
off the ground (WO 01/611889). They describe a flying saucer, built from two
wheels that spin in opposite directions to 鈥渁nnul gravity鈥濃�攍ike you
do鈥攁nd at the same time creating a low-pressure lift effect over the upper
surface. They also explain how the saucer can be mounted inside a large globe to
create a handy flying sphere.
