If you’ve ever glued your fingers together with a superglue, you’ll love a
new adhesive developed by scientists at Sandia National Laboratories in New
Mexico. The super-strength epoxy is monstrously strong at room temperature, but
crank up the heat to 90°C and the glue will liquefy, making it easy to snap
glued items apart. Temperatures of 90 to 130°C cause bonds between the glue
molecules to break. The military wants the glue to make weapons that can be
assembled and disassembled in the field.
