says a chewing gum that releases drugs into your mouth could do the trick (WO
01/21156). The firm’s research shows that chewing will force drugs through the
tissues lining your mouth into the bloodstream. This gets drugs into your system
much more effectively than swallowing them, because they don’t get broken down
by gut enzymes.
