Despite the best efforts of Russia and the US, the next component of the
International Space Station will miss its scheduled November launch date.
Russia鈥檚 long-delayed Service Module won鈥檛 be lofted into orbit until 26
December at the earliest. 鈥淏asically, there are software issues,鈥 says NASA
spokeswoman Kirsten Williams. Incompatibilities between the US and Russian
command and control systems are also contributing to the delay.
